Wheelchair Sports NL is very excited to announce our upcoming Wheelchair Basketball Camp from May 27-29 at the Powerplex in St. John’s. This camp is open to all players of all abilities as we identify potential athletes for building a team from NL for the 2019 Canada Games.  To be eligible for the 2019 Canada Games, wheelchair basketball athletes must be born in 1995 or later.

Wheelchair Basketball Canada is a partner in this camp, and we welcome guest National Team Coach Ross Norton.  Ross is a two-time Paralympic gold medalist and a world champion in wheelchair basketball after a hugely successful career with the Canadian Senior Men’s National Team that spanned nearly a decade.

This development camp is also open to able-bodied players as well as those players with physical disabilities; if you can push a sport wheelchair and enjoy playing basketball, and would like the opportunity to represent your province at the next Canada Games, then be sure to connect with Wheelchair Sports NL on this opportunity! Potential coaches and volunteers welcome as well!
