Gold For Team NL Basketball Squad

Men’s Canada Games Win Gold in FloridaThe Mens Canada Games Basketball Team traveled to Orlando, Florida this weekend to compete in the AAU Men’s Spring Classic Tournament. The tournament was held at the prestigious Orlando Sports Complex in Florida. The team faced the Florida Phantoms in their first game of the tournament and defeated them 59-49. The second game was against Florida Celtics which they won 66-46. They then advanced to the ranking section where they defeated West Coast Florida Kings 63-59 (OT). They advanced to the Championship Game where they met Elev8 Elite and defeated them 64-57. Coaches Erica Kennedy and Ian Coultas used this event in preparation for the 2013 Canada Games scheduled for Sherbrook, Quebec this August.

Team members include: Brett Warren, Steven Ryan, Christian Greenland, Cole Long, Nicholas Frew, Lucas Downey, Liam Dunphy, Brett Bouzane, David Grainger, Sean Hickey, Colin Connors and Andrew Murray. Devon O’Grady is the team manager.
